Whether you’re looking to check your campaign performance or set up a new campaign, you can do so with just a few clicks. The Quick Actions widget is especially useful, enabling you to carry out key tasks such as creating an email, setting up a popup, adding new contacts, or launching a marketing automation workflow.
If you prefer a more traditional approach to exploring the features, just click on the Tools menu at the top to access all the available tools.
Pro tip: Upon your first login to GetResponse, you can choose to explore the platform independently or follow the interactive tutorial. If you’re new to the tool or email marketing overall, I highly recommend opting for the tutorial. It will guide you through the essential features, such as creating and sending your first newsletter.
Mailchimp
Mailchimp also offers a fast, clean, and fairly intuitive user interface. In my view, there are two key differences between it and the GetResponse dashboard.
Firstly, the Mailchimp interface has a more classic aesthetic. If you enjoy this style, you’ll likely appreciate working with this application.
Secondly, the navigational menu presents the available tools differently. In GetResponse, you access customer information—like your contacts list, segments, or tags—by going to Contacts and selecting the relevant tab. In contrast, Mailchimp displays all available features upfront. Instead of just seeing the Audience category, you have access to a list of eight features related to that topic.
At first glance, this approach may seem like an effective way to organize the menu. After all, if users can reach the relevant feature in a single click instead of two, isn’t that a win? However, I believe this can be counterproductive. Although the tools are categorized logically (e.g., Campaigns, Audiences), the large number of options—around 40 tools listed in the menu—can be overwhelming. As a result, you might find yourself scrolling down to see everything.
Verdict: Tie
Both newsletter platforms feature intuitive interfaces that enable users to run campaigns and access all tools with relative ease.
While the user interfaces have distinct feels and aesthetics, I believe there’s no definitive winner between the two.
Additionally, even though the tools are presented differently on each platform, I don’t consider this a dealbreaker.

One of the most beneficial aspects of GetResponse is its continuous addition of new tools designed to simplify the email creation process, allowing you to craft your messages in the shortest time possible. In addition to providing over 100 prebuilt email templates and an intuitive drag-and-drop email builder, GetResponse has introduced an AI subject line generator and an AI email builder. In addition to helping you develop your campaigns, GetResponse allows you to conduct A/B tests on your messages (with the ability to test up to 5 variants simultaneously) and optimize send times through its Time Travel and Perfect Timing features. One aspect I find confusing and somewhat limiting in Mailchimp is that when sending your email campaigns, you can only choose one audience at a time.

In fact, it’s the only area where Mailchimp offers a greater number of templates! While Mailchimp’s marketing automation editor allows the use of webhooks, some elements may feel somewhat restrictive. For instance, the “time delay” element only permits you to set a waiting period in terms of hours, days, or weeks before the next action occurs.
